Description: Located in the small village of La Riba de Santiuste (Sigüenza, Spain), this bridge was built between 1905 and 1907 to replace a previous, much older bridge that had been rendered almost unusable by the repeated flooding of the Salado River. For centuries, La Riba de Santiuste held a strategic position not only for its castle but also for its bridge over the Salado River. In fact, as early as 1693, the bridge, which at that time had five arches, needed repairs. However, in 1905, master stonemason Serafín Caramés y Caramés was commissioned to build a new bridge. A solid work that has survived to this day.
